Events in Mansfield From 30th March – 5th April 2026

Home · Events in Mansfield This Week

This week in Mansfield, events highlight community traditions and evolving culture. At Mansfield Museum and Art Gallery, an exhibition titled 'Coal & Cloth: Textiles from the Pit' opens on 30 March, exploring workwear patterns used by miners at Shireoaks Colliery during peak operational years. The venue hosts a family workshop series throughout the week, including hands-on demonstrations of traditional weaving techniques in its community learning space.

For younger attendees, interactive sessions take place weekly across three locations, Mansfield Library’s children's corner, St Mary’s Church hall on East Street, and Pleasley Community Centre, and include storytelling using local dialects from Nottinghamshire folklore archives. These events run between 10:30am and 4pm Monday to Friday, fitting school schedules without overlap.

Live music continues at a modest scale across town centres. Acoustic sets at Mansfield Town Station’s platform area on Saturday afternoons feature locally recorded drum-and-bass rhythms by a collective named 'Pleasley Beats.' Evening performances take place in the car park adjacent to Rainworth Church, accessible via A617 road, open-air but without shelter during wet weather.

On weekdays at i-Jump Trampoline Park on Nottingham Road, overcrowding remains an issue due to weekend demand and limited indoor seating nearby, particularly affecting visitors arriving by public transport from Robin Hood Line railway station.

All times listed in official schedules published via Mansfield Council’s online portal.
